Penny finally had her 4 months check today 3 days shy of turning 5 months old. It was long overdue as I forgot her initial appointment on 12th September and the Health Visitors couldn't fit her in till today. It was just a quick check to ensure that she is growing & progressing as she should.
Poor Penny didn't like to be prodded by a complete stranger and started screaming and crying her head off! I guess she was eager to show off how strong her lungs are as she screamed really loud for ages! I was absolutely mortified that Penny screamed & cried longer than when she had her jabs!
At 21 week + 3 days, Penny weighs exactly 7.2kg or 15lbs 13oz which means she has more than doubled her birth weight of 3.14kg or 6lbs 15oz! My baby is growing up so fast! According to the midwife, Penny looks healthy, alert, responsive and seems to be absolutely fine! Penny can hold her head up, sits up momentarily (aided), coos and absolutely beautiful! How proud am I?
